It is quite an interesting question and, to be honest, even at my 33 years old, I am still not completely sure I feel like ”real adult”.
I mean, don’t get me wrong.
I work at a company.
I have a husband.
I have a child (which is still unbelievable to me).
And I still do not feel like real adult. I feel like I am still just over 18 years old impersonating an adult and faking it. Well, I guess expression ”fake it till you make it” really comes in handy here.
But, setting aside whatever psychological trauma that caused, I guess having to decide every single day what meal to have for breakfast, lunch and dinner for me, my husband and my child is as adult as I have ever felt. I mean, seriously, that is so freaking exhausting. I salute my mother for never complaining in front of me how awfully tiring that can be, especially this every day decision-making. Literally the worst part…And not mentioning how many times I can screw up the recipe (I am sadly not particularly good at following instructions).
Other than that, having to answer for my decisions and live with the consequences of those comes close second.
And what about you?
