I’d like to share something rather personal with you now — something that’s quite hard to talk to people about, or to be exact, to make them understand. Living with ADHD, anxiety, and OCD in a world so focused on reaching success and perfection is quite a task.

Especially with as little motivation to get out of bed in the morning as I have. And then you go on Instagram, Threads, Twitter, TikTok, and co., and see thousands of profiles — those polished, beautiful lives of people who seem to do so much, have so much energy, so much time, and manage to do it all in one single day, achieving so much. And that just pisses me off. 😤

Like, come on — I barely bring myself to clean the floors and do laundry on any given day. And here they are, waking up at 4 in the morning, writing a novel, finishing two books, doing the course, doing three hours of yoga, running, working, chores, cooking, and meeting friends. I’m lucky if I manage all of that within one week.

And then there’s society, which kind of pushes you to the limit to have a five-year plan — what your vision of the future is, where you see yourself down the line.

Man, in all honesty, I’m just trying to get through another day… I’m so happy for those who can do all of that, and, well, a bit jealous too (definitely not without that). But come on.

And this post isn’t about complaining about how unfair the world is — or at least, it’s not meant to be. This post is about celebrating. Celebrating small wins. Small wins that might feel so very, very small to many, but so meaningful to others. Because we deserve praise and celebration too. 💛

Last month, or even a couple of months ago, I made a firm decision to come back to blogging. Yeah, it only took me several years to realize I missed this. 😅

And now, I’ve finally finished:

  • Blog redesign
  • Setting up pages
  • Creating menus
  • Link creation
  • Instagram recovery (this task alone took another 3 days 😮‍💨)

And I am proud — quite proud — of the progress. Rather slow progress for many, but enormous for me. Because, as many fellow ADHDers will know, it takes a lot of willpower to follow through with these kinds of things, especially ones that require consistency and sticking to a plan.

So yes, I’m proud of my small wins. And I hope you remember to celebrate yours too. 🌱

Is there anything lately that made you feel proud?

YES! I am quite often proud of myself! LOL, maybe *too* often?

When someone else acknowledges my work (or even just my existence), that also makes me feel good … and proud? Pride is a weird thing (and not just because the term has been in the news a lot over the past few years 😉 ). IDK if it’s good (or NOT).

In any case I am HAPPY to see your writing! 😀
